Details changed, identity holds
A current price differs, more photos were added, or a size sold out, but the product, source, and remaining options still agree with the row.
An older row is not automatically useless, and a recently shared row is not automatically current. Freshness belongs to the evidence you can reopen today.
Reopen the source and compare five things with the saved row: destination, exact option, current price context, images or measurements, and availability. Record the date you checked. Keep the row if its core evidence still matches, hold it if one fixable detail is unclear, and remove it when identity or option has changed.
A spreadsheet timestamp tells you when a row may have been added or edited. It does not confirm when a marketplace page, album, variant, price, or photo set last changed. Likewise, a newly copied row can point to an old listing. Treat the date as a prompt to inspect—not as proof of freshness.
The most useful question is: “If I opened this row for the first time today, would the current destination still support the same comparison?”
A current price differs, more photos were added, or a size sold out, but the product, source, and remaining options still agree with the row.
The page opens, but the exact option, measurement method, weight basis, or included pieces cannot be confirmed.
Images, category, model, or product identifier no longer make sense with the spreadsheet row.
A dead link, login wall, regional block, or incomplete redirect means the row cannot currently support a confident comparison.
The destination, item, option, and decision-critical details still align. Update the price or availability note with today’s date.
The item still matches, but one important detail is unclear. Name that gap and give it one next check.
The link leads elsewhere, the intended option is gone, or several critical facts conflict. Do not keep it because the old screenshot looked promising.

Do not erase the old value if the change matters to your decision. A short “was / now” note preserves context: “Row showed black XL at 129; checked July 31, XL not listed.”
A page that worked moments ago can change later. Freshness checking improves your evidence; it does not guarantee stock, quality, shipping, seller behavior, or transaction outcomes. Recheck decision-critical details through the relevant current source when you are ready to act.
