How to Check Taobao, Weidian, 1688, and Yupoo Source Links

A source label tells you what kind of page you may be opening. It does not tell you whether the destination is current, complete, or the same item described in the row.

The short version

Quick answer

Keep the original URL, open it, identify the destination type, and compare the exact item, option, price context, images, and seller details with the spreadsheet row. If you use a converted link, preserve the raw source beside it so you can trace mismatches later.

Know what each source type is good at showing

Taobao

Marketplace listings may show selectable variants, detail images, shop information, and current pricing. Confirm that the selected option—not only the default image—matches the row.

Weidian

Product pages may be shared through mobile routes or redirects. Watch for option changes, removed pages, and titles that no longer agree with the saved preview.

1688

Wholesale-style pages can include price tiers, minimum quantities, specification tables, and many variants. A headline price may apply only to a particular quantity or option.

Yupoo

Image-led albums can help with visual discovery, but product options, price, ordering context, or the underlying marketplace link may live elsewhere. An album is not automatically a complete listing.

Use the six-part destination check

  1. Destination.Does the URL open the source type the row claims, or does it redirect to a different service, homepage, error, or unrelated listing?
  2. Item identity.Compare product type, model description, main images, and included pieces. Do not rely on one translated word.
  3. Variant.Check color, size, version, bundle, and quantity. The default selection may not be the option represented in the spreadsheet.
  4. Current details.Re-read the live price, availability, measurements, and purchase conditions. Treat the row as a historical note when they differ.
  5. Seller context.Confirm which shop or album owns the page. A copied image does not establish that two destinations are equivalent.
  6. Traceability.Save the original URL and the date you checked it. Keep converted or agent routes as separate convenience links.

Handle converted links without losing the source

A converter can make a supported marketplace URL easier to open in another interface, but the new route may hide the original domain, item identifier, or selected option. That makes later troubleshooting harder. Before converting anything, store the raw URL in your note. After conversion, compare the displayed title, image, option, and source identifier with the original.

TRACEABLE

Two links, one explanation

Raw source saved, converted route labeled separately, option recorded, and the destination rechecked on a specific date.

FRAGILE

One route, no context

Only a converted URL remains, the original option is unknown, and a later redirect cannot be matched back to the row.

Read mismatches as information

Not every difference means something improper happened. Listings change, options sell out, sellers reuse pages, translations vary, and spreadsheets age. The important step is to stop treating the old row and current destination as one unquestioned object.

  • Same item, changed price.Record the current price and comparison date; do not overwrite the old number without noting the change.
  • Same listing, option missing.Mark the intended option unavailable unless the source clearly shows a replacement.
  • Different images or product type.Remove the row from the shortlist until you can trace the mismatch.
  • Dead or login-limited page.Mark the destination inaccessible. A screenshot elsewhere is not proof that the listing remains current.

Keep one compact source record

This record is deliberately short. Its job is to let you return to the same evidence without depending on browser history or memory.

A source check is not verification

A matching destination only confirms that the row and page appear connected. It does not guarantee authenticity, product quality, delivery, seller conduct, policy outcome, or future availability. Use current official or platform information for transactions and support. This independent guide cannot inspect accounts, orders, or private seller records.
